<p>Sky Mavis recently announced the shutdown of Project T, the social playground for Axie owners. Axie Infinity's developer announced its decision on <a href="https://x.com/AxieInfinity/status/1913161886843150647">social media</a> while reassuring the fans that the project's development efforts would be channeled into its upcoming MMO, Atia's Legacy.</p><p><a href="https://funjible.games/news/axie-infinity-s-atia-s-legacy-mmo-open-for-pre-registration">Axie Infinity: Atia's Legacy opened for pre-registration</a> in March 2025, and the game shortly <a href="https://funjible.games/news/axie-infinity-atia-s-legacy-hits-715-k-pre-registrations">hit over 715k</a> interested players. While this decision could speed up Atia's Legacy's development process, it should be noted that Project T was a charming chapter in Axie Infinity. It featured a peaceful town square where Axie owners could meet with each other, relax, and play mini-games. Project T was only accessible to players with five or more Axies, and the experience also featured some light resource management.</p><p>While spending time in Project T, players could farm and garden to produce food from shards, rebuild stamina by sleeping or gifting, and also trade resources with NPCs.</p><p>Project T was a lot of fun for Axie owners, but it lost its popularity as more Axie games came out. <a href="https://funjible.games/games/Axie-Infinity-Raylights">Raylights</a>, <a href="https://funjible.games/games/Axie-Infinity-Homeland">Homeland</a>, <a href="https://funjible.games/games/Axie-Infinity-Origins">Origins</a>, and more attracted more players to Axie Infinity while also causing existing users to shift their focus. <p>MapleStory Universe recently outlined its long-term strategy with a new whitepaper while sharing its funding philosophy that focuses on independence.</p><p>Just this month, MapleStory Universe <a href="https://funjible.games/news/maplestory-universe-launches-its-own-custom-layer-1-chain">launched its own custom layer-one chain</a>. In the most recent <a href="https://medium.com/maplestory-universe/why-maplestory-universe-chose-independent-funding-over-venture-capital-68e75f8b1477">Leader’s Note</a>, Dominic Jang, Chief Business Officer of MapleStory Universe, explained why MSU chose independent funding over venture capital firms. The game already has a backing of $100 million from Nexon, allowing MSU not to rush further fundraising efforts.</p><div class="raw-html-embed">

MSU devs look determined to perfect the concept of Reward Experience, RX, in the game. Similarly to other blockchain games, MSU plans to tokenize in-game items as NFTs and allow them to function beyond the core gameplay experience.
