Star Atlas takes players on a futuristic journey to the year 2620 where three space-faring factions are in competition for intergalactic dominance.



<p>TOKEN2049 is gearing up towards its biggest edition yet. The Singapore event expects to welcome 25,000 participants from more than 160 countries on October 1-2, 2025, at Marina Bay Sands.</p><p>TOKEN2049 SIngapore's 2025 edition aims to be more immersive than ever, with five floors of venues filled with over 500 exhibitors. There are also two new additions to the event. The first one is the TOKEN2049 Origins Hackathon, a 36-hour sprint that will host 160 developers. The second addition is the return of NEXUS, the world's largest Web3 startup competition, which will be backed by venture firms like Dragonfly, Pantera, and Maelstrom.&nbsp;</p><h2>Beyond the Main Token2049 Singapore Conference</h2><p>Besides the main conference, there will be more than 1,000 side events. <p>Star Atlas has officially kicked off its biggest campaign since 2022. The iconic Solana based game has dubbed the next few weeks "Star Atlas Summer." It also released key updates. These include gameplay improvements, a new progression system, regional matchmaking, and new reward tracks.</p><p><a href="https://funjible.games/games/Star-Atlas">Star Atlas</a> hosted its first Town Hall on July 30, kicking off its summer initiative. This marked a significant change, as the game usually holds around three to four gatherings a year. The increased communication with the user base signalled a new era for Star Atlas.</p><p>The event began with a captivating cinematic trailer, setting the tone for Star Atlas' features. The trailer's cryptic narration, "To evolve, you may need to burn everything down," hinted at a shift in Star Atlas' narrative and gameplay direction. The latest Star Atlas update unveils a stunning visual refresh, beginning with the title screen. A sleek new UI and revamped maps. Yet, the crown jewel might be the character progression system, which empowers players to:</p><ul><li>Level up 14 character groups (species/gender combos).</li><li>Unlock crew packs by reaching milestones.</li><li>Prestige resets at level 20 for long-term goals.</li><li>Create detailed loadouts with weapons, gear, and utility items.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p>This progression is server-side for now. At the time of writing, there are weekly game modes in the game that rotate. You earn XP mainly by playing these game modes through the matchmaking system. Solo and practice modes no longer give players real progression rewards.</p><h2>Weapon and Feature Overhauls</h2><p>Star Atlas weapons have got a major facelift. The shaders and models improved significantly, especially for the Gatling Gun and Sniper Rifle. With new custom loadouts, weapon pickups in matches were replace by ammo. You can bring a sniper rifle, but you'll need to find the right bullets.</p><p>Movement in Star Atlas feels smoother now, especially sliding. New mechanics like bunny hopping are also here. Players can fire away while gliding along walls, eliminating pesky interruptions. Players can take on tasks like data delivery, iron ore collection, and bounties with named targets for various rewards.</p><p>Star Atlas developers are introducing new features in the books. They plan to shift focus from racing and shooter modes. While maintenance and hotfixes will still happen for these modes, internal teams are preparing to pivot to Fleet Command.
