Unfortunately, PvP combat couldn’t make it to Playtest 2 due to ongoing latency issues that Sky Mavis is currently trying to fix. Most abilities now allow movement during attack animations, with melee weapons slowing players by 20 percent and ranged weapons by 40 percent.<br><br>Sky Mavis also tightened monster aggro mechanics to discourage kiting. The stun duration extends longer, the impact area grows, and projectiles fly faster. Bonus damage from travel distance dropped, and piercing now caps at one target instead of multiple. Sky Mavis framed this as leaning into Bow's identity as a single-target crit weapon rather than an AoE tool.<br><br>Flute and Tome expanded their area of effect. Flute's ultimate now covers what Sky Mavis calls "a domain expansion" sized zone.<br><br>Staff improved its cleave attack radius on normal strikes.<br><br>Lantern and Talisman didn't receive direct changes but benefited from the new movement system. Talisman's ultimate now grants a large speed boost on arrival.<br><br>In the meantime,&nbsp;<a href="https://funjible.games/news/axie-infinity-release-baxs-combat-axs-sell-pressure">bonded AXS (bAXS) integration</a> runs parallel to the playtest. Sky Mavis launched bAXS in February with a $135,000 airdrop and positioned it as a long-term solution to sell pressure across&nbsp;<a href="https://funjible.games/games/Axie-infinity">Axie Infinity</a>'s ecosystem.
