The recently completed grant tournament is for a whopping 160,000 AXS tokens. Interestingly, the grant will be directed at providing support for all Axie Infinity events spanning from now till June 2023. Furthermore, helping to facilitate the expansion of Axie Esports in a fun, scalable, and fair way.</p><p>This grant is for 160,000 AXS and will support events through the end of June 2023. It is also important to note, that the event calendar might be updated from time to time. We expect more events to qualify and Axie Esports organizers to update and make changes to schedules in the future.</p><h2><strong>Axie Esports Grant #1 and #2</strong></h2><p>The recently published Axie Esports <a href="https://skymavis.notion.site/Grant-3-Official-Calendar-1eb79c51ffd04fc9918fb0ac197f08e0">event calendar</a> is for AXS Esports #3. Prior to this, Axie Infinity launched both AXS Esports #1 and #2. Both previous Esports tournaments helped provide a reliable structure to model the recently completed AXS Esports #3 tournament. Notably, during both Axie Esports #1 and #2, grant allocation was done mainly by prize pools. This helped reduce risks for the organizers while ensuring top-notch and efficient use of the budget resources. Also, the prize pools model helped incentivize sponsors and general participants during the tournaments.</p><p>Notably, Esports #3 will take a completely different approach to budget allocation. Instead of using a prize pool model, over 80% of the budget will be allocated directly to players. The remaining 20% left will be directed at ensuring the smooth running of events from now till June 2023.</p><h2><strong>Esports Grant #3</strong></h2><p>Axie Infinity AXS Esports grant #3 was a huge success. According to reports, the number of grant applications surpassed the available budget by about 2.5x. This goes to show the growing interest in Axie Infinity and its Axie Esports tournaments.</p><p>The Esports platform further pointed out that while it is exciting to see increasing interest in its grants, it will currently continue to work with existing organizers. In its official blog post, Axie Esports reveals that it feels “[...] strongly about continuing to reward organizers that have taken risks with us along the way and worked with us on previous grants.”</p>
