There were a lot of successful funding events, new game titles, and also a lot of participation. The blockchain gaming sector recorded an 85% increase in unique active wallets (UAW) when compared to active wallets in 2021. These points include;</p><ul><li>At least 65% of the respondents who took part in the survey were below 35 years.</li><li>89% of respondents revealed that they will work in the blockchain gaming sector in about one (1) year time.</li><li>36% of respondents also indicated that game improvement will be at the forefront of driving the global adoption of blockchain gaming.</li><li>30% also disclosed that the 2022 crypto winter had the most negative impact on the blockchain gaming industry</li><li>40% of respondents indicated that a misconception of the blockchain gaming sector is that its is harmful to the environment.</li><li>56% of respondents also currently accept at least a portion of their salary in crypto.</li><li>37% indicated that they believe there is still a major misconception of blockchain games as being boring.</li><li>21% pointed out that blockchain game funding had the most positive impact on the blockchain gaming ecosystem. This was closely followed by NFT adoption by both celebrities and top mainstream brands.</li><li>There was also a 67% decrease in the survey respondents who believed Play-to-Earn (P2E) as the main driver of blockchain gaming as compared to 2021.</li></ul><h2><strong>Some Conclusions About The Survey&nbsp;</strong></h2><ul><li>Blockchain gaming remains the main propelling force for the dapp industry. Blockchain games currently account for 50% of all dapp on-chain activity as tracked by DappRadar. Interestingly 1.13 million UAW connect daily to game dapps on approximately 48 blockchains.</li><li>Web3 gaming and the metaverse ecosystem raised a whopping $7.4 billion dollar in 2022. This is a 59% increase from 2021.</li><li>WAX is currently still the most popular blockchain for web3 games. Followed by Hive and Binance Chain (BNB) respectively.</li><li>Polygon (MATIC) is also making waves in the blockchain gaming sphere after reaching a 97,000 daily UAW average in 2022.
