<p>Japanese Gaming Giant Sega makes a foray into the blockchain gaming ecosystem. Sega, in partnership with Double Jump Tokyo reveals plans to launch its first-ever blockchain game. Interestingly, Double Jump Tokyo is also a top Japanese development company.&nbsp;</p><p>The upcoming blockchain game will be styled using Sega’s Sangokushi Taisen franchise. Sangokushi Taisen is one of Japanes top arcade games. Important details of the games, the game mechanics, and the trading aspect of the cards is still unknown. Also, there is currently no specific game for the official launch of the game. The only confirmed information is that Sega is brewing a blockchain game and the game will be on Oasys’ Layer 2 blockchain, HOME verse.. However, the proposed launch of the game indicates growing interest in blockchain gaming.</p><p>Double Jump CEO, Hironobu Ueno, spoke highly of the partnership with Sega. Pointing out that the company is “[...] honored to be a pioneering partner in building a new generation of games with SEGA on the blockchain.</p><h2><strong>What You Shoud Know About Oasys</strong></h2><p>Oasys is an environmentally-friendly blockchain project, designed to facilitate scalability in the blockchain game sphere. Also, it has been touted severally as a gaming-optimised blockchain specially designed by gamers and for gamers. The project has been chosen to provide the upcoming game by Sega and Double Jump Tokyo with top-notch blockchain support. This is a first-of-its kind partnership for Oasys and will help usher the scaling project into the AAA gaming sphere.</p><p>Speaking in the announcement, Daiki Moriyama, Director at Oasys disclosed that one of the company’s main goal is to “[...] lead the mass adoption of blockchain games by providing players and developers alike with a safe, secure and stable environment”. An environment that will facilitate the creation of truly innovative games of the future.
