SuiPlay0x1: The First Web3 Console Available for Pre-Order

Mysten Labs' highly anticipated handheld gaming console, the SuiPlay0x1, is now available for pre-order. Mysten devs highlighted their ambition to onboard over 10 million players from Web2 to Web3 in the announcement trailer, as the console is expected to act as a bridge.

SuiPlay0x1 is priced at $599 plus shipping and taxes. Fans can only use SUI, SOL, and ETH to pay for the console, as fiat isn't available at the time of writing. Pre-ordering the SuiPlay0x1 rewards supporters with an Eternal NFT. This NFT verifies one's claim for the console and may offer potential future rewards.

Eternal NFTs have two tiers. Mythics will be awarded to the first 1,000 players who purchase the device, while the remaining will receive the Exalted variant. The shipping for SuiPlay0x1 is expected to start in 2025.

What Games Can You Play on the SuiPlay0x1?

The crypto gaming device SuiPlay0x1 supports both PC games and Web3-native. The console runs on a Linux-based operating system, so players will likely have access to Steam and Epic Games Store.

However, the main goal of the console is to introduce Web2 players to the Web3 gaming ecosystem without them even noticing. For that reason, SuiPlay0x1 may have its own store overlay where Web3 games also share a display alongside more traditional titles.

Where Can the SuiPlay0x1 Be Shipped?

The SuiPlay0x1 can be shipped to most countries worldwide, with a few exceptions. Shipping is unavailable to Cuba, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Ukraine (Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions), and China.

It's currently unclear whether SuiPlay0x1 will make its way to retail stores, but a successful launch for the console may open the door to various opportunities.
