<p>One of the promises of Web3 gaming has not yet truly come to pass – true cross-game engagement. It is true that a number of gaming ecosystems feature a number of blockchain-based games that work in complementary fashion. An example is of resources being mined in one game and used as fuel for tasks like crafting in another game. Yet truly employing NFTs in many different games within one ecosystem, along with linking gameplay across multiple Web3 games, has not been fully realized. That is until now. The first is that it wants to implement a system for game developers that onboards mainstream players into games fueled by Enjin. Objective number two is increasing cross-game engagement for players. The goal is to provide players with experiences (quests, resource gathering, crafting, etc.) spread across many games in this new Enjin gaming ecosystem. Such engagement works to encourage players to explore the different games available within the Enjin ecosystem. The third objective is to allow developers to easily integrate their game into the Enjin ecosystem by greatly reducing technical barriers.</p><p>These objectives provide Enjin with a number of intertwined benefits. First, players will see an increase in the utility of their multiverse items as more developers join. This leads to more players flocking to the <a href="https://funjible.games/games?blockchain=Enjin">Enjin ecosystem of games</a> due to the increased item utility. In turn, the increase in players will convince more developers to move their games to Enjin. Overall, this creates a self-sustaining cycle of growth for the entire ecosystem, leading to increased positives for both gamers and developers.</p><h2><strong>Multiverse Items Upgraded</strong></h2><p>As part of the Multiverse Codex, Enjin announced players will see major enhancements to their multiverse items. The multiverse items' 3D models have been added to the metadata which allows for interactive viewing within the Enjin wallet and on NFT.io. In addition, the descriptions for each item will point players to the upcoming Multiverse Codex. Within the Codex, players will find extensive information about the capabilities of the item across the various games in the Enjin ecosystem it appears in.</p><h2><strong>Multiverse Quests</strong></h2><p>An important aspect of the upcoming Multiverse Codex launch is the addition of the multiverse quest to the Enjin platform. A trial run (Cyborg's Quest) was initiated back in 2020 for undertaking a quest that was played out across multiple games. Now the multiverse quest becomes a core feature of the Enjin ecosystem of games. The developers state that players will have “continuous opportunities” to undertake multiverse quests and receive mighty rewards. One such reward is the Prymithical Chest, earned by taking part in multiverse games. These chests drop incredibly valuable items – in fact, some of the most coveted items found on the Enjin blockchain. Enjin will reveal the initial games that are part and parcel of multiverse quests when the Multiverse Codex goes live on August 27.</p><p>Another component of the Enjin Multiverse Codex launch is the introduction of two new Discord channels. When a player connects their Enjin wallet with the Enjin Discord, they gain access to the Multiverse Quests channel (offering the latest info on said quests) and the Multiverse Chat channel (where players can talk with other players about their multiverse exploits). The Multiverse Codex will be the central hub where players will find the newest games that have joined the Enjin ecosystem of games. The Multiverse Codex also provides comprehensive video demonstrations and detailed descriptions of their multiverse items and what the items' capabilities are across the spectrum of games in the multiverse.</p><p>As for game developers, they can leverage the functions of the Multiverse Codex to attract players to their game once players see what their items are capable of. An important note is that the Multiverse Codex will be constantly updated as new games and items are added to the multiverse. As such, this new hub will increase demand for the multiverse items, which will lead to an increased demand for exploring new games, which also leads to an increasingly larger player base.
